The Catalan Cluster of Agricultural Production Means (FEMAC) in collaboration with The PIC consortium, QUALIMEDITERRANEE , VEGEPOLYS and TERRALIA organise the 7th edition of the PIC meeting, the most important event in the plant production industry organized annually in Europe, which will be held in Lleida (Spain) on the 27th and the 28th of September 2017. This event is addressed to SMEs, Research Centers, Farmers, agricultural companies, agro professionals, Universities, Start Ups, and clusters from all over the world.

The first day of the event will be focused on a general view of the European Programs on Agriculture, farm and Plant Innovation and it will hold three different workshops which each participant will be able to choose in accordance to their interests. These workshops will deal with the Crop Management approach, the Digitization of the Agri-food sector and the Innovative Technology for Genetics and Breeding. The second day will be build around B2B sessions among the participants to foster future strategic cooperations and around the parallel visits to IRTA, the Agricultural Research Institute in Catalonia, and to the Vineyard Production Plantation in Raimat (Lleida), which will be hosted by AGROPIXEL, a crop management consultancy.

The Pic meeting has already celebrated 6 editions since 2011 in different French cities such as Paris, Marseille, Angers and Montpelier and countries like Portugal and Argentine, all of them with the same topic and structure. Previous editions have been driven by the main aim to develop international cooperation, both in terms of international discovery missions for its members and the setting up of European projects, always positioning the event in the plant sector. Under this objective, the Inter Plant Cluster Consortium focuses its innovations in the following crops: cereals, seeds, fruit and vegetables, ornamental horticulture, vineyards, tropical plants, medicinal and aromatic.

In organization of the Cluster House Nis and Faculty of Economics, IT management and creative production FEFA in Belgrade - winner for the best institution for management education in 2015, awarded by the Serbian Association of Managers and a partner of the Harvard Business School Boston & the Fordham University New York, supported by the Gymnasium "Bora Stankovic" from Nis, Prof. Dr Goran Pitic, President of FEFA Council will hold a lecture "ECONOMICS OF EVERYDAY LIFE" for students of III and IV grades of secondary schools and teachers involved in youth entrepreneurship programs and interested in developing their own business, management and economic sciences.

The lecture will be organized on Thursday 4th of May 2017 from 13:00 - 14: 00h. at the ceremonial hall of the Gymnasium "Bora Stankovic".

Russian venture forum, April 27, 2017:

a special guest is the Cluster House, an organizational member of the Global TCI Network

The Russian venture forum is a central event of the Russian venture industry, which will be held on April 27, 2017 in Innopolis, Republic of Tatarstan, the Russian Federation. The forum is an international platform for discussions, exchange of experience in direct investment industry and venture capital, as well as a platform that promotes the future technologies development.

Within the framework of the Forum there will be a round table "Russian clusters - how to win leadership in the international arena", dedicated to the development of international cooperation in clusters - leaders in world-class investment attractiveness. The round table is held to discuss issues related to effective practices, priorities and tools for the development of international cooperation, developing the export potential of innovative clusters, the possibility of improving cooperation and increasing competitiveness in the international arena.

Heads of foreign regions, where successfully implemented cluster policy, will participate in the round table, representatives of federal executive bodies, heads of cluster organizations, large high-tech enterprises, development institutions, objects of innovation infrastructure and leading universities.

Dr. Danka Milojkovic, director of the Global TCI Network Board of Directors and director of the Cluster House BBS ClusNet will be a speaker of this round table on the topic "How to establish international relations with foreign clusters?" .

Kama Innovation Cluster, a partner institution of the Cluster House since 2016,  is a main organizer of the round table.

Cluster House at the INSME Annual Meeting in Mexico

On behalf of the Cluster House Dr. Danka Milojkovic participated in the call for papers for the XIII INSME Annual Meeting on “IMPROVING PRODUCTIVITY IN SMEs AND THEIR ROLE IN GLOBAL VALUE CHAINS”. Since the paper on the topic „The transnational cluster collaboration platforms as a powerful tool for encouraging micro, small and medium enterprises to access to the global market” has been positively evaluated, the Cluster House Balkan and Black Sea Cluster Network will be presented on this world-wide SME development event within the INSME Annual Meeting www.2017.insme.org in Puerto Vallarta, State of Jalisco, Mexico, in May 15-17, 2017.

The Croatian Days of Clusters Conference (CRO DofC) has been held in Dubrovnik, from 10th to 11th of April, 2017, four years after the last national cluster conference which was organized traditionally in Opatia. The CRO DofC 2017 was organized by business cluster Croatian Wood Clusters, under the leadership of Mr. Marjan Kavran, in partnership with the Cluster House and other partner institutions. The conference gathered over 100 participants from Montenegro, Greece, Serbia, BiH, Slovenia, Macedonia, Croatia, Italy, Belgium, France and more than 60 speakers, cluster experts and practitioners. It was promoted in the Cluster House Balkan and Black Sea ClusNet, the ECCP and the Global TCI Network. It was followed by Croatian media.

The main session: “Are Clusters effective tools for strengthening competitiveness in the SEE”

In the framework of the conference the SEE Cluster Community will prepare a white paper with recommendations for improvement of cluster development environment in the region which will be submitted to relevant EC and reginal institutions.

Montenegrin – Serbian – Croatian cluster development advocacy mission

The next cluster event in partnership with the Croatian European Parliament will be organized in Brussels end of the year. The Serbian Cluster Day in partnership with the Danish Embassy in Belgrade will be held at the Cluster House in Nis, on May 11, 2017. During the CRO DofC there were two initiatives for continuation of the similar regional cluster events in Žabljak in Montenegro and Mostar in BiH.

Thank you letter for contribution in the conference promotion to Cluster House

For the first three the best cluster projects and cluster managers in the SEE were voted the Vojvodina ICT Cluster Serbia, the Agro Mechanical Cluster Osijek Croatia and Slovenian Construction Clusters. The special thank you letter was awarded to Croatian Agency for innovation and competitiveness and the Croatian Chamber of Economy.
